It is time again for CESA's annual Junior Executive Elections! This year there are 16 Junior Positions openings available for the 2010-2011 Executive Committee:
• 2 Social Directors • 2 Cultural Directors • 2 Sports Directors • 2 CESA Times Directors • 2 Academic Directors • 2 Marketing Directors • 2 Photography Directors • 2 Technological Directors • 2 Art Directors
With over 350 members and 35 years of history, the Chinese Engineering Students’ Association is one of the largest and most distinguished clubs in the engineering community. We hold over 15 events across the academic year and aim to promote the Chinese culture, recreational activities, and social events. Become an executive member of CESA to meet more people, gain invaluable experience, and most importantly, HAVE SOME FUN with everyone in the team!!!

Position Description: Social Directors (2): - Be responsible for planning, organizing and executing any social events of the Association including orientation dinner and banquet etc. - Promote CESA internally and externally. - Maintain relationships among Association members (ie. Class reps)
Cultural Directors (2): - Be responsible for promoting Chinese culture as well as Canadian culture among the members and in the University. - Be responsible for planning, organizing and executing any cultural, charity and volunteering events of the Association.
Sport Directors (2): - Be responsible for all athletic activities within and outside the Association. - Be responsible for recruiting and training players for sports representing the Association. - Be responsible for reserving gymnasiums for any of the Association’s sports activities.
CESA Times Director (2): - Be responsible for external issues regarding CESA Times. They include, but are not limited to, communications with sponsors and the printer. - Oversee CESA Times sub-committee and maintain schedule of tasks. - Collect articles, advertisements, graphics, etc. from writers, art directors, etc. - Be responsible for obtaining sponsorships for CESA Times. - Be responsible for forming a team to help write and edit articles.
Academic Directors (2): - Be in charge for planning, organizing events related to Cover Letter/Resume workshops, PEY talks, industry mixers. - Be responsible for coming up with events concerning the development of skills, networking and career building.
Marketing Director (2): - Be responsible for planning the membership hunt, including the selection of membership merchandise, during Frosh Week and the Clubs fair - Be responsible in planning and searching for any potential groups which may act as contributing groups and sponsors for any of the Association’s events. - Be responsible for assisting the Publication and Publicity Directors in finding sponsors and advertisements for the Association’s yearbook and magazine, CESA Times. - Be responsible for promoting events and printing the posters of the events to ensure that due time is given to advertise.
Photography Director (2): - Be responsible for taking pictures at CESA events - Be responsible for obtaining sponsors for the yearbook. - Be responsible for producing and maintaining the 2010-11 CESA on-line album.
Technical Directors (2): - Be responsible for creating and updating CESA’s web page. - Be responsible for maintaining CESA’s forum and mailing lists. - Be responsible for keeping and updating a database for all CESA members.
Art Directors (2): - Be responsible for the design of business card, membership card, T-shirt and other logos related to the Association. - Be responsible for the design of all posters, flyers and printing for any activities or events run by the Association.
